Welcome to the Natural Healing Energy

Karen is an experienced practitioner of energy healing and is proud to be one of a very small number of practitioners of The Honey Healing Method, worldwide. She is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, a Reiki Master and Teacher and a Master Teacher Member of the UK Reiki Federation.

Karen began exploring energy work in the late nineties as a natural progression from her interest in meditation and yoga. She trained in a range of energy healing treatments and clinical psychology and she worked in the NHS for some years. She decided to combine all her skills to enable her to tailor treatments to suit individual clients. She then expanded her work to include teaching Reiki and meditation. Two areas of particular expertise and interest for Karen involve her work with people with emotional problems, such as depression and trauma, and with women who are pregnant or experiencing post-natal difficulties.

TREATMENT'S

Your first session with Karen will include a consultation to gather information about your health and your treatment goals. Subsequent sessions are planned and progress reviewed to ensure your goals are achieved.

CLASSES'/WORKSHOP'S

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a system of energy healing that was established in Japan. Some people consider that it is the "source" or "universal life energy" that runs through all living things.

TRAINING/CORPORATE

Thousands of working days are lost every year in the UK due to employees taking time off work for, often, relatively minor complaints and stress related problems.Many companies are looking for alternative methods to boost employees

Why I bother to meditate



I have been teaching meditation for more than ten years. Like many people my own personal meditation practice has varied in its consistency at different times. Recently I started doing a short meditation before I sit down to do admin work at my computer. Sometimes I need to do some work on my accounts, sometimes I’m answering emails or, like today, doing some writing. Depending on what the task is I may enjoy it to a greater or lesser degree and some days are easier than others to get this kind of computer based work done. So I thought beginning with some meditation might help and I want to share with you my reasons why.

Of course meditation doesn’t always work miracles but I find that even if I sit for just a few minutes the three things I always feel , as a result, are calmer, more focused and more refreshed.

You are enough...



I have been doing some research into short meditations recently. I am planning to record some more of my own meditations, (listen to and download my existing meditations here). This is a great way to get ideas and think about what I like, what I’m not so keen on and what I think works well. The extra benefit is that I get to spend a bit more time relaxing and focusing for myself, with someone else leading the way. We all need outside support some of the time.

Positive Affirmations

Some meditations use affirmations as a way to help boost positive thinking and encourage us to feel good about ourselves rather than focusing on the negatives, on things we don’t like or those aspects we aren’t happy with. Affirmations aren’t something I have used a lot myself but I know they work really well for some people. There’s no right or wrong way to meditate. It is much like exercise where different types will suit different bodies and the most important thing is to find something you enjoy and that works well for you and what you’re trying to achieve. Keep it fun too!

Why multitasking isn’t a skill to aspire to after all…


I have been involved with the Business Women’s Networking Group, Women on Wednesday or WoW, in Salisbury since not long after I moved to the West Country from London nearly twelve years ago. This group has been a fantastic support to me as a self-employed person. I received a lot of help as I was building Natural Healing Energy in this new area and I also made some good friends along the way.
