Autumn’s Wise Women’s Gathering at Horserenity

Chick
Autumn is a season of richness and transformation; nature offers us her abundance, vibrancy, and energy before she gently settles into winter. For many women, this stage of life mirrors the season itself: powerful, transformative, and full of potential.

Yet, transitions can sometimes feel overwhelming. When too much change arrives at once, especially when it feels beyond your control, it can drain your energy, strain your nervous system, and leave little time or space just for you. At Horserenity we invite you to step away from these pressures. You’ll find steadiness, strength and a growing trust in yourself, in a supportive, nurturing space alongside our horse guides.

We are offering three Sunday morning sessions in September designed to help you reconnect with yourself, your roots, and the land around you. No prior experience with horses is needed, and there is no riding, only presence, connection, and calm.

This course is for you if you are a woman who is:
-Navigating peri-menopause, menopause, or beyond.
-Feeling stretched thin by life’s demands.
-Rarely finds time for yourself.
-Longs to reconnect with nature and your own inner grounding.
-Wants to move through this stage of life with empowerment and vitality, not depletion.

Let the land replenish your energy; let the shared wisdom of women lift you up; let the presence of our horses guide you back to the essence of who you are.

Why horses?
Horses have a beautiful way of showing us what it means to live in the present moment. Free from judgement, they respond to us exactly as we are, reflecting our emotions and energy with honesty and sensitivity. This natural attunement offers us powerful insights into ourselves and how we move through the world.

Like us, horses have nervous systems that shift between states of calm and stress. The difference is that, when given the freedom to express themselves naturally, they are remarkably skilled at returning to balance. Simply being in the presence of a calm, grounded herd can help us do the same, gently guiding our own nervous systems towards greater ease, balance, and inner calm.

At Horserenity we emphasise empowering both horses and humans to have choice. No person or animal will ever be pushed to do something that feels too far outside their comfort zone. Our skilled facilitators will support you to gain what you need from each session, while also checking in with our herd to ensure their wellbeing is always honoured.

This workshop offers women the chance to step away from the busyness of daily life and connect with horses in a supportive, nurturing environment. Together, we’ll explore what the herd can teach us about presence, resilience, and the restorative power of simply being.

What to expect from the sessions.
Each two-hour session begins with an opening circle, where we’ll take time to settle in through gentle grounding, breathwork, or a short meditation. From there, you’ll be invited to spend some quiet, mindful time with the herd, engaging in activities that encourage reflection and connection.

Each week will focus on a different theme around self-care, inner awareness, and building a deeper connection with yourself. After time with the horses, we’ll come back together to journal and, if you feel comfortable, share any insights or experiences that stood out to you.

To close, we’ll finish with a short grounding or breathwork exercise, helping you to integrate what you’ve learned so you can leave feeling calm, centred, and ready to carry those insights into your everyday life.

Who are your facilitators?
I will be hosting these sessions along with Sarah Vivian, who is the owner and director of Horserenity and a very experienced practitioner of Equine Facilitated Learning. With my background in clinical psychology and energy healing I have more recently been studying equine facilitated learning with Sarah at Horserenity and am now offering Equine Facilitated Learning and Therapy sessions with the herd there.

Sarah and I are both midlife women who feel passionately about supporting other women to navigate this stage of life. We all need a little help and spending mindful time with horses can really support us to find a deeper connection with and understanding of ourselves.
